A beautiful April wedding at the Atrium at Blue Haven | Sioux Falls, South Dakota

I’m not sure we could have asked for better spring weather in South Dakota: sun shining, clear skies, and an adorable goose that kept watch over the shimmering blue pond. I had the honor of documenting Clark & Sarah’s proposal so I was especially honored I got asked to photograph their wedding day as well! These two are just the sweetest, most down-to-Earth couple. This was our first time at the Atrium at Blue Haven in Sioux Falls and it was an incredibly beautiful venue! Right when I walked in, I was so impressed with the design and the lighting. Light and airy and spacious getting ready rooms for the bridal party, amazing staff that helped make the day run smoothly, and a big, beautiful bar that kept the drinks flowing all night long.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour as well as yard games on the lawn by the pond. It was so nice that guests were able to enjoy the outdoors without snow or rain that is so typical in South Dakota in the spring. We were also able to get some absolutely beautiful golden hour photos with our bride & groom before they cut their cake and rejoined their guests to kick off the reception. One of my favorite parts of the evening was the musical bingo and trivia that Clark and Sarah decided to have for their guests. They’re not big into dancing, so after their first dance and parent dances, they treated their guests to entertainment before we ended our coverage with a classic sparkler send-off. Such a unique touch and the guests loved it! What a perfect day. Here are a handful of our favorite images, both film and digital, from their gorgeous spring wedding.

Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Haugen!
