I’m so glad you’re here!
I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. I got my first true digital camera in college – a gift from my dad – and since then, I’ve grown from photographing landscapes and wildlife to finding the beauty in people. I’m constantly looking for genuine interactions, beautiful relationships, and natural, candid moments and I have since photographed over 375 weddings!
The past twelve years of being a wedding photographer has brought me more joy, travel, and inspiration than I ever thought possible. Light is my biggest inspiration, and I find weddings to be complex, joyous, and emotional celebrations and are my absolute favorite to photograph. I truly want you to feel the most beautiful you've ever felt when you're in front of my camera!
My photography style is film-inspired and focuses on joyful, light, romantic images full of natural tones, beautiful blues, and raw emotion. It’s my goal to make my clients feel as stress-free as possible, like the camera isn’t even around. My team and I have a very relaxed approach to posing and we tailor wedding days to your needs and unique style!
If I’m not at my Spearfish studio photographing families and babies, I’m traveling around the world photographing both amazing couples and marine life. I’m obsessed with Paris and anything coastal. I live for our evening walks with our two old goldens, relaxing at my favorite local coffee shops, and spending time with my family. My perfect day? If I’m not swimming with orcas in Norway or sharks in Hawaii, it would be sipping red wine at an outdoor waterfront restaurant in Lake Como, Italy with my best girl Marina and my darling husband Tom alongside me.

What Inspires Me

France & Italy
After a transformative trip to Italy and France last year, my vision suddenly shifted. I decided to create a brand that was more in tune with my goals, my style, and myself. I wanted it to feel elegant, natural, and welcoming. Like a cool breeze carrying the sweet scent of lemons lakeside in Italy, to capture the high-end feel of Paris, and to somehow embrace the cerulean water that I love so much with the elegance of beautiful, creamy chateaus. I’m never at a loss for inspiration when I’m traveling!
I'm actually a marine biologist (on the side when I'm not photographing weddings!) and I've been deeply inspired by the ocean and soft, ever-changing shades of blue my entire life. Because the ocean has been such a critical part of shaping me, my photography style has also evolved to incorporate as many natural elements, coastal colors, and soft blues as possible.

Meet Tom
My husband, best friend, & second photographer
When I first met Tom, he didn’t even own a digital camera. We used to go for hikes and he always had his 35mm film camera along. We connected over our mutual love for biology and photography and now he photographs almost every wedding with me. Film has become nostalgic for us: I associate it with our relationship, and I love that we now get to incorporate it into our business. Tom was there for me at the very beginning when I was transitioning from mainly wildlife photos to the world of portraits. He’s been my biggest supporter since day one. He’s truly my rock, soft place to land, and my best friend. And now he’s the best dad to our little Marina.
While Tom isn’t as much of the face of the business, he’s very much a part of it. He watches continuing education videos with me in the evenings, has spent countless hours renovating the studio, and takes care of so many other aspects of our lives when I’m putting in long hours. Tom also enjoys researching and swimming with marine life as much as I do as well as traveling the world. I’m so lucky to be his wife and it is a joy to document so many love stories and milestones alongside him!

As a hybrid film & digital photographer, I work to create images that are true to life with soft colors, low contrast, warm skin tones, and natural blues. I’ve self-titled my work as “coastal romantic” and I’m always excited when couples incorporate coastal, natural elements and pops of blue into their day!
I love creating light & airy images and I work to find the best light to showcase my couples.
