Sami + Andrew Adams | Miller Creek at Elkhorn Ridge

Sami & Andrew had an absolutely beautiful Black Hills wedding in August with a few new locations for us! They got ready at the Miller Creek bridal house, a historic building just a few miles away from Miller Creek Pub at Elkhorn Ridge, their ceremony location. We have photographed weddings at Elkhorn before, but not this particular ceremony site. And this was our first time in the bridal house! We had some gorgeous property right behind it for their first look and bridal portraits with views of the Black Hills. Brynlee, Sami & Andrew’s beautiful daughter and their darling pup Sadie also got to be a part of the photo fun. Sadie even got to join us on the party bus as we drove to the reception at the Belle Fourche Country Club. She is just the sweetest pup and she stayed on the dance floor the whole evening as well.

We’ve only had one other wedding reception at the Belle Fourche Country Club, but it’s a pretty fun venue. We’re always a fan of open-air receptions, especially when we have a beautiful summer evening. After dinner, we stole the newlyweds on a golf cart (ok actually Andrew and Sami stole us!) and drove to the top of the golf course for some golden hour photos. These are always our favorite photos from the day and these two are seriously so much fun. They have amazing chemistry and we had them twirling and dancing in the sunshine before we joined up with their guests again to start the dancing portion of the evening. When we stole them for our final light shot, Sadie snuck over and joined us. It was the perfect way to end their magical day. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Adams!
