Merissa + Connor | Black Hills Engagement Session | Pactola Lake

Merissa & Connor were a dream couple to work with. They even told me before we started that they were nervous they wouldn’t be any good because they hadn’t had photos done together before, and they were worried about not being very photogenic. But they couldn’t have been more wrong! These two were naturals in front of the camera, which tells me they have so much chemistry.

We chose Pactola Lake with the beautiful Black Hills views around us for their session - it’s one of my favorite spots for a reason. The views, the water, the serenity… it’s one of the most iconic locations in our area. We had hoped for golden hour, but right when we arrived, the sun dipped below some clouds and it was actually quite dark. But with a darling couple and gorgeous views, we couldn’t take a bad photo and the evening was perfect. I had to share a few quick photos but I’m so EXCITED for their wedding this coming July!
