Ok these two were a dream couple for sure. I know we love all of our couples, but sometimes everything just aligns and it creates the perfect day. Tom and I seriously left this wedding saying “why can’t all weddings be this much fun?” From the sweetest couple, to a hilarious and easy-going bridal party, we got to work with some of our favorite vendors and some of the very best wedding professionals in the Black Hills. To top it all, we got to end the day with magical sunlight and an amazing lightning storm. Lexi had the most beautiful dress and veil and even though we had 50mph wind gusts throughout the day, she didn’t stress and we were able to create some epic veil shots.

After the ceremony, we snuck on the party trolley and headed downtown for drinks and a few more bridal party photos and to get away from the wind. Downtown Spearfish has a beautiful mural with whites and blues and it was the perfect backdrop for a few more photos. After heading back to the Barn at Aspen Acres, DJ Marek was ready to get the party started. I think we’ve said this a few times before, but he’s hands down one of the best DJ’s we’ve ever worked with - this guy has been in business for over a decade, too, and he knows how to get a party started. Lexi & Josh opted to wow their guests with Marek’s electric sparklers, and we always love how these dancing shots turn out. It was SO hard to narrow down our favorites from this magical day. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Schmeets! Thank you so much for letting Tom and me be a part of your special day!
