Cassidy & Jordy Peterson | the Farmhouse Barn | Sturgis, SD

It’s not often we get to shoot at new venues, but this was our first time at the new Farmhouse Barn outside of Sturgis and it was gorgeous! Of course it had to rain most of the day for us (yay spring in South Dakota!) but Cassidy & Jordy were committed to getting married outside and they made sure it happened. We weren’t unhappy about it because you can’t beat those Black Hills views! And a little rain never hurt anyone ;) We even got to do some of their bridal portraits on a cliff outside of Piedmont and we were treated to a super pretty sunset that just kept getting better and better.

After the ceremony the wedding party took a party trolley into Piedmont for a few drinks while guests enjoyed cocktail hour and then DJ Marek got the wedding party ready for their entrance into their reception. The beautiful white barn was perfect for photos and the big garage door was an amazing backdrop for their first dances. Cassidy & Jordy treated their guests to a sparkler “send-off” as a photo opp before dancing the night away, and then they surprised their guests with Marek’s famous “indoor sparklers” – it’s always so fun to watch guest reactions to these. We had the best day celebrating with the new Mr. & Mrs. Peterson with amazing vendors and a beautiful new venue. Hope you enjoy this quick sneak into their gorgeous day!
