Taryn & Lucas Mack | Deadwood, SD | the Martin & Mason Hotel

I’m a sucker for history, and when I met with Taryn and she told me her venue was the beautiful Martin & Mason Hotel in Deadwood, South Dakota, I was sold. I could hardly wait for their wedding day. Deadwood is known for its historic buildings and cobblestone streets and after their Catholic ceremony downtown, we took the bridal party to the Deadwood Welcome Center to finish their photos before the sun set. This time of year, the sun sets over the beautiful Black Hills quite early, so we rushed to get as many photos in as we could with our golden sunlight. I think we all were expecting snow but this winter has been so mild! We were able to do most of their photos outside which is always a win for South Dakota in November.

These two had such a magical day filled with amazing vendors, beautiful heirlooms, and classic details. It was the perfect way to end our 2023 wedding season and we couldn’t have asked for a better couple to celebrate with. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Mack!
